Conditions in the region today will be hot and dry throughout. High temps in Boise area are set to sit right under 90 degrees.
Later this evening, conditions are favorable for some stronger storms first popping up on the Nevada border this afternoon with strong outflow winds. Gusts could reach up to 60 mph in this area, and on the Treasure Valley side isolated wind gusts are a bit weaker at 20-40 mph.
The Treasure Valley will start to see impacts of this stormy weather starting around 8PM. Not a lot of rain is associated with this incoming weather, but we could see hail and damaging winds. Secure any outdoor furniture that could go flying, and be aware of fragile trees or power lines that could be at risk.
