BOISE, Idaho — It's #TakeoutTuesday, so at Idaho News 6, we're encouraging you to take a break from the kitchen and consider supporting a local eatery.

Today, we're taking a look at how Asiago's Restaurant and Bar in downtown Boise is adapting to their "new normal."

Like many restaurants across the country, Asiago's had to drastically change its business model in a short amount of time.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Asiago's was a dine-in restaurant serving fresh Italian food. While they're still serving their original menu, they've had to change how they serve their customers. Now, you can order their food through UberEats, Grubhub, and soon, Doordash. Or, if you're nearby, curbside delivery is available through their website.

For the classic Italian or eclectic Italian foodie, Asiago's says their food is, "approachable, unfussy, and simply delicious."

Owner Jason Driver tells us the Italian influence of Napa Valley, California, inspired his restaurant's cuisine.

Asiago's is open from 4 p.m -8 p.m, sometimes 9 p.m, seven days a week. Check out their menu here. If you'd like to donate a meal to a local medical professional for just $16, click here.

Wednesday on Good Morning Idaho we'll hear all about the impact local restaurants are having on local hospitals receiving donated meals.
