Even though there wasn't much snow in the Treasure Valley on Sunday, there was plenty of it flying up at Bogus Basin.

Some have been going to Bogus Basin for years.

"I've been skiing oh way too long. 30 years now and he started, he's eight, almost nine and he started when he was two and a half, three years old," said Trace Milburn, skier.

Others are just getting their start.

"It was pretty scary but we got through it and survived," said Emma Palmer, snowboarder.

Regardless, most have one thing in common on Bogus Basin.

"It's fantastic. It's great. There's enough to hold an edge everywhere and if you want a little powder you can go off to the side and otherwise there's great groomed runs. If you get too much snow, it's choppy. It's not choppy. It's just perfect," said Shannon Carrillo, skiier.

Hitting the mountain is something many use to recharge.

"I like the change. It's peaceful with the lights and just carving through the quiet at night. It's my bliss, my counselor. You know, all of the bad things that happen just go away," said Milburn.

With Christmas just around the corner, it's a familiy affair.

"We're just starting off Christmas break off right and getting some fresh air and getting some snow. We were on the backside and there's plenty of snow everywhere. It's just beautiful. We were on the front and just feel really happy that it's actually snowing," said Carrillo.
