BOISE, Idaho — Friday morning the Boise State football team took the turf for the first time this Spring. Despite a lot of change happening within the program, Coach Harsin said practice went "really well".
This was the first time 6 On Your Side has spoken to Harsin since Andy Avalos, the defensive coordinator for the Broncos announced he'd be leaving. Avalos will be joining the coaching staff at the University of Oregon.
In addition to losing Avalos, Harsin also lost a few of his most developed players, but in return accepted enough to fill in the gaps. We asked Coach Harsin what message he hopes to convey to his new players, "my message to them is “what do you guys want to be?” “what do we want to be?” “what do we need to be?”…thought we did some good things last year, but we didn’t finish.”
The Broncos first game of 2019 is August 31st against Florida State.
